About the Artist:

Christie Chandler

A transplant from Atlanta, Christie Chandler has lived in the Jacksonville area for the past two years.  She studied marketing at Georgia Tech, and went on to work at AT&T creating marketing programs for the national sales force at corporate headquarters in New Jersey.  An opportunity to move to South Africa came along in 1996, and Christie then worked in marketing for Dimension Data's software division.  She then spent most of the next 15 years living abroad in Paris and London, raising her three children and studying art. While in London, Christie studied at Central St. Martin's, a leading-edge contemporary art and design school.  Since graduating in 2011, she has participated in group shows in London and two solo shows in Atlanta.  With these diverse educational experiences and a new-found world view, Christie returns to the Southeast with a fresh perspective and a deeper understanding of the transformational power of art.
