2022 BMW 3 Series

You'll find the 2022 BMW Series 3 offered in four forms: the 330i, 330e, M340i, and M3. The M3 is produced in two trim levels called the M3 Sedan and M3 Competition Sedan. The Series 3's front fascia features full LED headlights and the signature BMW kidney grille with black inserts. If you choose an M3 model, the Series 3 switches to vertically oriented dual grilles. The rear fascia continues this sports style with form-fitting dual exhaust tips and thin horizontal LED taillights. The side mirrors have heating functions and power-fold to protect themselves while you're out of the sedan.

The 2022 Series 3 330i comes standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine rated at 255 horsepower and 294 pound-feet of torque. The 330e is a plug-in hybrid that marries the same engine with an electric motor to create a combined 288 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The M340i has a turbocharged 382-horsepower 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine that offers 368 pound-feet of torque. The M3 Sedan has the same six-cylinder engine but outputs 473 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. Choose the M3 Competition Sedan to increase the engine's power to 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. You can get a six-speed manual transmission with the M3. Otherwise, each trim level comes equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Each model, except for the entry-level M3 Sedan, has the option of switching to a performance-tuned all-wheel-drive system called the xDrive. The Series 3 offers steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters to give you more control over your sedan's shift points. One of the reasons the M340i Sedan can get so much more power out of its six-cylinder engine is its mild-hybrid engine technology, which fuels its eBoost power.
