The venerable BMW brand has long been associated with automotive excellence, producing a full line of cars and SUVs that embody precision, power, and performance. 230i

The 16-valve powerplant has BMW’s innovative twin-scroll turbocharger, variable valve control, and high-precision direct injection. With the 8-speed Sport automatic transmission and Launch Control, the 230i generates 255 horsepower and has a 0-60 time of 5.5 seconds.
The 230i isn’t all brawn, with many driver assistance and comfort features that improve the driving experience. Some of the features on the 230i include Servotronic power-steering assist, Dynamic Stability Control, 4-wheel ventilated ABS disc brakes, Dynamic Cruise Control, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.9-inch central information display, cloud-based navigation, Active Driving Assistant, Park Distance Control, and rain-sensing wipers.
230i xDrive
The 230i xDrive trim is similar to the standard 230i edition, but there is one critical difference. As the name would suggest, the xDrive version incorporates BMW’s xDrive drivetrain, which gives the 230i xDrive standard AWD capabilities. The system monitors all four wheels during driving and apportions power to those that need it most. It incorporates Dynamic Stability Control and Dynamic Traction Control to improve handling in a variety of conditions.
The xDrive drivetrain changes key metrics in the trim level. It cuts the 0-60 time from 5.5 to 5.3 seconds. The AWD system also gives the xDrive version is rated for 25 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway, compared to the standard 230i’s 26 MPG in the city and 35 MPG on the highway. The xDrive trim also includes driving enhancement features like the Driving Dynamics Control system with four distinct driving modes to match the conditions.
Additional M Sport Package
Though not a distinct trim level for the 230i, drivers can also further customize the 230i or 230i xDrive with the M Sport package to upgrade the aesthetics and performance of the coupe. The M Sports design level has improved aerodynamics thanks to an Aerodynamic Kit, an upgraded M Sport suspension for better handling, an exclusive M Steering Wheel, and the sporty Shadowline exterior trim treatment.
