The ’22 BMW 8 Series is offered in 840i, M850i, Alpina B8, and M8 Competition trim configurations. All trims except the Alpina B8 come as four-door sedans and two-door coupe, convertible body styles. Another 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 cranks 612 horsepower and 590 lb. feet of torque. It gets a fuel efficiency of 17/24 mpg city highway. The final option is still the same type of engine that produces 617 horsepower and 553 lb. feet of torque. It gets 15/21 mpg city/highway.
3. Infotainment and Connectivity
Every 8 Series comes with BMW’s iDrive infotainment system, which features a 10.2-inch display at the central part of the dashboard and a 12.3-inch digital cluster behind the steering wheel. The screen is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other standard features are satellite radio, Bluetooth connection, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system.
